You need to spend some hours reading and researching before you buy $8K of gift cards....

+1000 Start small, and as you get more comfortable build your way up. Don't limit yourself to one method, or you'll be in trouble should that method die, as these things tend to. And don't buy more than you can afford to temporarily float, or one hiccup can wipe you out.

I bought something on Amazon using the last 1,000 UR points on the account and then stupidly cancelled the card the next day, and then I got an email from Amazon saying payment declined and now my 1,000 points are gone. Do you think they'll show back up on the UR site if Amazon refunds them?

Simplest way to know for sure is to check your Acct balance, but like I said IME it disappeared right away.

Honestly I would say that you would have better luck fighting it out on Amazons end. Tell them that you thought the payment went through already, and now you are out the points and you want a $15-$20 credit.

Just checked my account that I closed 2 days ago and points are still there
