Cash is probably a bigger no no with Chase.  Chase hates cash.  They have completely banned cash payments in some markets, and have banned cash in safe deposit boxes.

 I have personally deposited cash in Chase but I have a long history with them, plus a sizable checking and savings account 
 Do you think it would be safer paying her cc  entirely with Serve although I bought all  the VGCs with her CSP ,  since she does not have a large checking account balance etc

No issue paying with Serve.

Is doing balance transfers bad credit - wise?  A freind who owes me money wants to do a balance transfer from my account to his.
