Question:  the 175 Fee for the prg posted so I downgraded to the green card. The way it works that only when the statement closes do I get the credit for the Fee. So do I need to make a payment now for the 175 or can I wait until after the statement closes?

Just got my first statement from newly opened Amex PRG card and shows 0 point balance and 0 points earned this period. I understand that the 50k bonus didn't post yet but why 0 points from this period of I spent 2k+? Do I need to enroll in MR or something?
If you are trying to get my attention/assistance and I'm not responding, please feel free to PM me. :)

Points posts with the statement print after you pay off the balance.

Did you pay off the balance due yet?

I paid off all but $300. Statement closed with $300 balance. So the points will post next statement and on the next statement the "points earned this period" will be from this period really?

Something like it... I hate Amex MR statements... By Chase you can see each and every transaction how much you earned on it and on the statement you see the points earned with the charges on that statement.

Yes Chase is very clear they even show how many points from the additional 4% categories... Didn't realize Amex was so unclear...

Here's  a post from TPG that outlines AMEX points crediting fairly well

Thanks!
ETA: Just read, never knew that loose points if miss payment and the $35 fee to reinstate. They probably don't even make you aware of this when you miss a payment. Very informative piece. Thanks again.

If you are missing payments, you need to get another hobby.
