Doesn't it depend on what processing company they use?

You quoted the wrong person. Any AU history older than that? If not, get yourself added as an AU on an old, clean, account or two with another bank than amex, and try again.
I was an AU on a Bank of America card for about 2 years now. Chase/Experian didn't look at it. When I spoke to reconsideration, they told me for whatever reason it didn't show up. I happened to have just been taken off as an AU now.

Strange. Somebody from your address?
Try citi, they're pretty good about reporting.
Right but I'm trying to get specifically the CSP. Any idea how long is good, only considering a regular personal  Capitol one CC?

I mean try getting added as an AU on a citi card. They report to the CRAs reasonably fast.
Does it make a difference how long I'm an AU, or they only look how long the account that I'm an AU on has been open?

Amex will report the date that your added as an AU as the account age. That's why you don't want that. Most other banks will backdate the account age to primary account opening date, so date you were added as AU doesn't matter.
Great info, thanks. Any banks specifically that will backdate? (So I know what I'm working with)

Any other?
BoA should, but you said that didn't report for you. Most banks do, amex being the notable exception.
Who do you think you are fooling? You think you are going to pull a quick one on your Creator? Good luck with that.

OK... If I wouldn't want to go an AU, and just wait till my account is old enough. How long do you think untill I can feel confident of being accepted to the CSP?

Have you looked at your EX yourself to see if that BofA card is on it?

I'm going to look into now. But I'm curious how long as a primary though. Any idea?

Very YMMV, but 18 months should be more than enough. Many people have gotten approved with less. Was the credit line on the card you have over $5k?
It was $3000. I can't transfer the credit line though, because my credit is on the capital one.

The minimum starting credit line for the CSP is $5k. If you had other cards on your report with that credit line or higher, Chase would be more willing to match it. Chase doesn't like being the first to offer you much higher credit lines than you have.
So your saying if my Capitol one card approves me for $5000, then chances are Chase will as well? (Even with short credit history?)

It'll give you a better chance. There are other factors, too, including reported income and personal history with Chase. I'd still strongly advise you to get added as an AU on an old, spotless account with a high credit line and low to zero utilization. It'll do wonders for your credit score.
Thanks a lot

I know this has been discussed, I just have no clue where. If I currently have an Ink Plus card under just my SSN, can I apply for a new one with a different company name under same SSN but with an EIN # this time?
