BOA and Chase seem to be the most generous with starting limits for many.  Citi starts out more conservative.  Amex also may start out with lower limits, but in a short time you can easily make it a higher limit with just soft pulls.  BOA and Chase are also very easy to get a high limit with combining limits since you can reallocated limits at any time.  My first BOA card was opened in 2014 and has a $50K limit now.

Many credit unions are more generous with starting limits such as PenFed, UNFCU and NFCU.  My NFCU limit is up to $50K now as well.

Thanks!

so more specifically which cc you think will give out biggest credit line?

is it normal that i tried making a charge of $1200 on a chase freedom card and it was declined and i had to call in just to verify it for security?
Do u have any different idea for a signature?

BOA or Chase, and depending on the card you apply for. The Chase Freedom is not known for high starting limits.

If you don't normally make charges that big or in that store or geographical area, this would be normal. Is $1200 a large purchase for you?

Can anyone tell me the risks in doing this: I have an AMEX SimplyCash Plus that I am trying to make a 1k spending threshold to get sign up bonus. I'm not going to spend 1k in 3 months so I would buy two $500 GCs from giftcardmall.com and add them as debit card on my Serve acct ($200/day for 5 days) and use that to pay bill. How high are my chances of getting the Serve acct shut down or getting F/R on the AMEX?
Thanks!

Maybe send money to a friend with Venmo and swallow the fee?

Just load 1000 to serve online. Much simpler.
Who do you think you are fooling? You think you are going to pull a quick one on your Creator? Good luck with that.

Are there risks? I'm not so worried about getting Serve shutdown as I'll still be able to use the funds but I am really scared of F/R.

Major YMMV IME . Capital one is my lowest credit line atm (under 10k). However there's a reason I keep it.

I believe that with AMEX, if you make a large purchase which triggers a fraud alert, it puts eyes on the account, which can lead to an account review, or whatever they call it.

It's fine . No risk and IIRC the discussion wasn't about amex
