Just got approved for Sapphire Reserve at 0/24. If I want to add an auth user who's gonna be traveling for a while (thus needs a cc with no annual fee), should I add him as an AU on the reserve to get the benefit of 3x points travel/dining, or should I get a sapphire preferred for the 50K + 5K Auth user bonus? Just a note, the $75 annual fee for the Auth user on the sapphire reserve is not a factor, since he'd cover it (he needs to build credit anyway). Finally, what impact does adding a chase AU have on 5/24 for me, the primary acct holder? Thank you!

I'd say to give him the Reserve. It'll get you more points cuz he's traveling and it'll get you the $300 travel credit. You can do the Sapphire Preferred at any time and add anyone as AU. Re Question 2: Adding AU on someone else's name and social doesn't affect primary 5/24 at all AFAIK.

and it'll get you the $300 travel credit.
Just to clarify; au does not get his own credit. He means you will have an easier time getting your travel credit if your au is traveling because you get your credit even if spend is on au card (although I can't imagine many people well have a hard time getting the travel credit on their own given it's inclusivity).

If you were asking a standalone question: "I got approved for CSR; should I get CSP for 55k or not?", I'd say certainly get the CSP.
Who do you think you are fooling? You think you are going to pull a quick one on your Creator? Good luck with that.

I'm assuming you mean he needs a card with no foreign transaction fee.

Just a note, the $75 annual fee for the Auth user on the sapphire reserve is not a factor, since he'd cover it (he needs to build credit anyway).
He can build credit with an au card without a fee so the $75 should be a factor for him (although it may well be worth it since he gets his own lounge pass and global entry credit),

As long as they accept the offer code and confirm the bonus, sure.

Thank you for your answer. Question is, from experience do they accept expired codes?

When do I ask for a manual refund of the annual fee on a Chase card? When I call to close or later than that?

Immediate.
Is the transfer from Shapphire to United immediate even if it's a recently opened United account and its 60k point transfer?

Sometimes, even if you log out/in on United, it doesnt show your new balance under your name. (Maybe has to do with cookies?)But if you look at account activity, you'll see that its really there...and you can book.

I applied for CSR in-branch and got the we will let you know in a few weeks. I called the Recon numbers for the last 4 days and they keep saying that my application is in the "back office" and there is nothing they can do to make it any quicker...you will get a response in 10-14 business days". I am over 5/24, but I am CPC. Am I supposed to be calling another number? What should I ask for when I am talking to the Rep? TIA

What number you calling? Make them transfer you to the lending department and the verification department
