Definitely try HUCA.  and even a 3rd call, if necessary.
If all else fails, call to see which other card he has that may have a low fee cash advance check and move the credit line there.  But be sure to move the credit line to some other card.
Thx

If the no BT fee is standard, he can PC another card to a slate after transferring the balance.

didn't know where to ask this but would appreciate the help. My Chase banker told me to speak with the CPC banker because it shows her that I am invited to apply for it there. I made a meeting with the CPC banker and I am just wondering exactly what happens during this meeting? Do you actually need to move funds the same day? Is the CPC status instant? Do I have to open all the CPC accounts or can I just chose the checking or the savings account etc. Do they make you sign any type of contract to keep funds with them? What should I expect? Would appreciate the insight. Thank you!

I have 4 SPG cards laying around from the 35k bonus. My question is I only really need one any advantage or disadvantage closing the rest?? I do not need the CL.

On a side note: I combined my SPGaccount with my wife's by mistake instead of transfer the points and they combined the credits towards  elite to a total of 20 nights and 8 stays.
How do you do that? And once you do it do the points earned on both spg cards go to that joined acct?

I think he meant to ask which cards are affected by it not wich cards count against 5/24.

by "my account" there's an option merge my accounts. You fill out a form it it should happen after a few days. At first they sent me an email stating that this is really only meant to merge 2 accounts for the same person and they will reverse the action, several months have gone by and they didn't reverse it. And yes all points were merged into one account.

Points from all cards still post to this ONE account. although I'm not really benefiting from it as I only really use one of these cards.

Try it and report back. heres the email i originaly got from them, but as pointed out before they never actually reversed it.

Dear M*********,

Thank you for contacting Starwood Preferred Guest regarding duplicate accounts. We appreciate your loyalty to SPG and I hope this email finds you well.

Per your request, I have located your referenced SPG accounts. Before I noticed them to have different first names, I merged them. This was an error which will be corrected and reversed. I apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.

We are unable to allow combination of individual accounts, whether for spouses' accounts, or for other members of your household. However, we do allow unlimited Starpoint transfers between accounts of members in the same household for redemption purposes, if the following requirements are met:
Both members live at the same postal address. (Starwood Vacation Network members (“Owners”) may transfer Starpoints between two designated Starwood Vacation Network Preferred Guest accounts, regardless of whether the accounts have the same residential address.)

The recipient is not an employee of Starwood Hotels & Resorts Worldwide.

Members may not transfer Starpoints to/from an account that has a P.O. Box, APO or SPO as the address.

Both accounts must have been enrolled and active for at least 30 days.
You may now fill out the online transfer request form. You will be asked to provide the quantity of Starpoints to be transferred, as well as the member number and last name of the account you wish to transfer to. Once account verification has taken place, a confirmation email will be sent to you within ten business days.

Best Regards,
