I thought myi is right that if fraud is not a concern they'll give a new card. Are you talking from experience?
Yes. I just ordered a new platinum card, to get the metal one, and was too lazy to find the card. The chat rep told me that without those 3 digits, they can not proceed

Do you also have a personal one? I don't know what it means (if anything.....) but I applied for a delta personal and business cards and the personal still shows normally but the business changed to dummy code.
Same here. Personal looks fine and business is dummy code. I think it was like that from the start, didn't change to that.
But it's approved, so does it really matter? It does look strange, though.

I still have a pending on a spg biz. The dummy code is a tag disconcerting. That's it.

This whole Return issue - I think you can request replacement card online and the last 5 digits will be the same and the stores don't usually have more than the last five digits. If they still give trouble - use Amex Return Protection!

Got Amex offer for 10k points if enroll in Extended Pay option. How do I do this without paying interest of my purchases?

You can only request a replacement with exact same number by telling them the 3 digit code on the back of the card. Hence this whole conversation

You don't have to actually use the Extended Pay option, just enroll in it.

I enrolled and never saw the 10k.(iicrc I think I was targeted as to why I enrolled.)
Don't try to be someone else , be who you are because everyone else is taken.

My purchases won't automatically go to Extended Pay and gain interest?

It will only accrue interest if you don't pay in full when it's due.

Doesn't make sense. When amex issues additional users and replacements, all they change is the last few numbers. In general I'm not convinced it's a problem with returns. I think the new card is linked and you should be able to return on it.

Tell that to the store. Technically they can return it to any cc. They have a policy though to only return it to the same card

Or just use Amex return protection, or even easier - dispute it (or threaten to dispute)
