Is there anyway someone could get their check back from a 'Capital One secured card', without having to close the account?
If my credit report has a pull from "Amex Account Review" should I be concerned? It's a soft pull, so I'm not concerned about it hurting my score, but is that an indication that Amex is looking into me?

I dont think that a soft pull from amex account review means that amex is looking into you, maybe they just wanted to look at your account.

A friend of mine has an account for over a year and a half, and they told him, that he either closes the account or he could wait for an offer to get the account unsecured (which they can't tell in advance if and when it'll come).
CapitalOne never unsecures accounts. That's why people with garbage credit need to look at BofA, Citi, Discover, NFCU
