We ordered jewelry item online that was stollen by/from UPS. The item was purchased with Macys credit card.
We filed a dispute. It has been 3 month since purchase. Customer support does not have any resolution yet.

Can you help with advice? How can we expedite the claim?

Isn't UPS responsible for this, it would require a signature if its expensive

The item should have been insured. It's over 1K. We spent hours on the phone with Macys customer support. We are told they are still investigating

Macy's is responsible their mistake not to insure an item over $1000 , did UPS require a signature for delivery?

They should require a signature. According to macys rep, someone returned the item in the store, and got a refund as a giftcard.
My question is, what can we do to expedite the claim?

Can't Macy's void the gift card? And how is the return relevant to the signature not gotten?

Update: We called Macys today. We were told that Macys filed with UPS on December 15. The manager promised to personally call us back within 48 hours. We are getting a run around.

Macys doesn't have any internal controls. How can someone return a stolen package worth over 1K without verification?

How would they know its stolen assuming that whoever stole it was before you filed a dispute

checking tracking, asking for ID, sending refund to original payment method would help

Ok guys anyone with advice here..
I signed up for the southwest business card with a legit business I got my 60k bonus points, then I signed up for it again as a sole proprietary with just my social security, but now I got a letter that I wont be getting the bonus rewards and I spoke to a chase rep who told me that since both cards have the same social I cant get the bonus points. Then I spoke to a superviser and he told me that ones you get a bonus on any southwest card, you wont get any bonus not on a business card and not on a personal card. Can anyone advice me on that? Thanks alot

My father made a payment for his Chase CC using "bill pay" from his Chase checking account, somehow the payment ended up on my CC account. He called Chase (without saying anything about my account), they saw the payment debited from his checking account but not credited to his CC account, so they credited his account.

Our accounts are not linked in any way, and he never made a payment to my account, what could've happened that it ended up in my account?
BTW, the payment is still credited to my account.

You guys share a last name (I assume). Are your first names similar? Have you ever been on his account in any way previously? It's possible someone screwed something up on their end.

Same last name, totally different first names.
The only link I can think of is that I deposited a check from his account into my Chase checking account, but I would think it's very far fetched to say that that triggered a payment to my CC account when he put in his CC number through bill pay.

Quite odd. I'd be curious for the back story, but wouldn't want to put my free money in jeopardy by looking for answers...

What is currently the best credit card for making a spend? I don't want to spend a lot on the yearly credit card fee.

(I have the Barclay, and do not qualify for Bonvoy since I've had a business SPG)

Thanks!
