Will they mail out of USA?
I believe they've sent me a card to Israel. Told them I was traveling (I was).
I'm not who you think I am.

I just opened the chase preferred card to get the 60k bonus. Can I open the BUSINESS preferred card as well to get the 80k bonus?

Sure.

i asked about this in another thread but was wondering if there is a specific thread that has a discussion/data points on the whole apply for amex with no pop only to be denied the bonus after.

i have checked through the DDF and was unable to locate a specific thread on this topic.

i know these issues started like 200 plus days ago.

for me it just happend and im wondering why no talk on hre about it? has this issue been a non factor for most? am i just the only lucky one.

signed up for a 75k delta reserve and was approved with no pop.

did spending in 2 days.

usually delta posts right away so after a few days i called and was told was in review. had manager check into it and came and said i was ineligible bases on me abusing the system. asked to try to see what he can do and that was a few weeks have not heard back.

in the meantime my statement closed and on my account the 75k is still in a pending status together with the earned points from this month. i thought perhaps after the close of the statement the whole lot of points will transfer over but it did not. didn't even get my earned points. i did get one perk of the welcome offer which was the $100 delta credit.

my accounts, all 7 cards are in good standing with nice spending spread out on a monthly basis.

i have gotten a pop once before, and i was actually expecting it. no biggie i signed up for a amex plat ameriprise which came free for first year. it had some kind of low grade offer, i had the card before so expected the pop-got approved and im still enjoying all the free perks the amex plat has to offer. sadly amex has now ended that free first yesr offer.

back in January i signed up for an amex hilton 100k and closed it with in a few weeks-i know big nono especially nowadays. but i did that bec i wanted to apply for a delta gold card with no lifetime language with an increase sign up bonus and i was maxed out a 5 amex cc's. the agent told me to close a card and i picked perhaps foolishly to close that one. she then approved me for that delta gold card.

a week later the rat email showed up saying i was ineligible for the hilton 100k welcome offer. at this point the points were awarded, spent and account closed. so being it not being MR no real consequences to me. infact amex as a compensation awarded me 20k miles.

this brings me back to my current dilemma..

ive been holding out further complaints and even maybe a CFPB complaint until September 3 bec one amex agent just glancing at my account said she saw no reason that it would not post by then.

im still skeptical.

to me this is very frustrating, amex has in there t & c language that basically gives them the right to do anything they want for whatever reason.

anyways i am sorry for this long story, just wondering if there is a dedicated thread for this and if others are still having the same or similar issues. also if anyone who had experience with this issue can give me there opinion or result?

thanks!

I had the same issue with a delta offer and i was told that it is under review (for abuse etc.) but after a 'very long' time i got the points.

(iirc they said that the review will take 6-8 weeks, and after the 8 weeks and the points were still not available, they accelerated it to a higher dept, i then got a phone call from that dept, explaining me the reason for the review etc., i was sure that i wont get the points.. but a few days later the points were available in my delta account)
If it benefits even just one fellow DDFer, its worth posting it.

thanks for the response.

that gives me more hope.

i dont believe that phone call had anything to do with the points posting a few days later, it just seems enough time passed. did the points posting coincide with your statement close date?

i was told by another ddf'r to wait 3 months.

i just wanted to hear from more people with this issue.

I do not remember the exact details, the bottom line is, that it was under review for a long time, and i eventually got the points even though i have already had the DL card in the past.. (the offer had NL)
