Application status for Chase
Anyone have any number better than 1-800-432-3117
and how does it work?
try 888-338-2586
my experience has been if they say up to 30 days they are processing it, if it says you will be notified in approx 7 days it's usually a denial.

It will hopefully automatically change to Approved. if it changes to the 7-10 day message they usually need some info or verification.
If it benefits even just one fellow DDFer, its worth posting it.

I called yesterday to check the status of my Chase Ink card and they said their system was down for two days last week so they are behind on the applications.

Nope.

You will earn a reward of 6% on the first $6,000 of eligible purchases in a calendar year at supermarkets located in the U.S. (superstores and warehouse clubs are not considered supermarkets); 6% on eligible purchases of U.S. streaming subscriptions from select providers (the current list of select providers is available at americanexpress.com/rewards-info). If your subscription is bundled with another product or service or billed by a third party (such as a digital platform, a cable, telecommunications, or internet provider, or a car manufacturer), your purchase may not be eligible; 3% on eligible purchases on transit, including trains, taxicabs, ride share services, ferries, tolls, parking, buses, and subways (airfare, car rental and cruises are not considered transit); 3% on eligible purchases of gasoline at gas stations located in the U.S. (superstores, supermarkets and warehouse clubs that sell gasoline are not considered gas stations); and 1% on all other eligible purchases.

Hello,
This is my first post but have been a DD member for quite a while. Seeking some help with my mismatched Credit cards to get better value, flexibility and transferability with Membership Reward points, etc. Credit cards are most frequently used for amazon.com, Costco, local grocery stores, gas stations, air flights via Southwest and JetBlue, Verizon bills, some restaurants.

I have:
Chase Freedom (regular)
Chase Southwest
American Express Gold
Capital One Quick Silver

Am I correct in that my Chase cards are useless when it comes to the bi-fecta?
I believe I need a Sapphire Preferred or Sapphire Reserve and the Freedom Unlimited or Ink Unlimited?
If so, any ideas on best way to fix?  I have not applied for any credit cards the past few years.
Should I put in app for the Chase Preferred (has a a good mileage bonus w/specific spending) now?
Can I change my Freedom to  Freedom unlimited?
Should I switch my old American Express to a better AX card?

I find this a bit confusing so any help is appreciated as I learn the point games. Thanks for your help!!

I opened Amex Business Platinum, and added $0 Green Cards for my kids so that I can get them the Global Entry.

I received the cards, but when trying to confirm the cards it asks for a birthday and does not let it go through as they are under 18.

Any way around this?

No, the chase freedom is useful for a bifecta  in conjunction with 1 premium card: Ink preferred, Sapphire Preferred or Sapphire Reserve or trifecta+ with Freedom Unlimited and/or Ink Unlimited and/or Ink cash

If you've gotten any Chase card in the last 30 days. There is a 1/30 rule guideline (1 card every 30 days) for the business cards, so you want to wait until you're at least past that. You'll get a denial unless you haven't gotten ANY (personal or business) Chase cards in the last 30 days.
So firsr biz then after approval a personal should work.
Thank you. I applied for biz first (got 7-10 days), but didn't wait for approval before applying for a personal. Guess we'll see.
Update: recon was able to approve the biz first. Then next day recon approved the personal. B"h. Now I'm hearing that getting 2 Chase cards in a short period of time is a red flag these days... any idea on that?

Its recommended to wait 3 months in between chase applications.

I got this email from discover, Iv'e never kept a balance on my cc, wondering what effect it will have on my cs if I utilize 50%+ of my available credit on this card and pay only minimum payments till the promo expires?

Credit score is calculate also based on your utilisation. So your score will drop I'd you u are using 50% of it.

However, if you don't have any plans for a mortgage/loan/lease or so , and you need that money. It's the cheapest option do do. Again it's depends your nedes.

Keep in mind that there's business card with 0%apr as well and they do not report, so it will be a better option to consider..
