You're not using it for groceries or gas ?
I am. Which is best for those?

Ok, I’ll try this while standing on 1 foot.

Ink Cash has 5% cash back on first $25k for office supply stores, Internet, cable & phone services. 2% back on gas & restaurants.

Ink Preferred offers 3 ppd on first $150k on Internet, cable & phone services, travel.

Sapphire preferred offers 2 ppd on dining & travel.

Freedom has their 5% rotating categories

There’s probably much more

Then there’s Pay Yourself Back

Add a Freedom Unlimited.
If you have any other Chase UR cards, convert it to FU to take advantage of 1.5 ppd earned on 'everything else'.

Great idea. The question is whether I should give up on Freedom's 5%. I also don't want to close a very new CSP. I could apply for a new FU, but is it worth using up one of 5/24 for that?

Good questions all. You're in a pickle.
It's good to have a Freedom.
Don't play with a new card, but if after a year you're going to cancel it, convert it to a FU.
IDK if it's worth a 5/24 slot.  But think about what else  you were planning to get and how soon your old ones will fall away.

Which other Chase branded cards do you plan on getting in the near future (hotel/airline)? If there aren't more than enough to put you over 5/24 go for it, it's a very good non-premium card to have. You can always apply for non-Chase cards afterwards.

Do you have any other old chase cards just sitting around that could be converted ?

Nope.
We'll keep thinking... ::)
I was just wondering if I was missing anything. Apparently not. :)

In case this helps anyone, for a while I was getting the amex popup on new applications for my wife, so I spent regularly across all of her amex cards for just 2-3 months and today I got an application through with no popup. I thought it might take longer but I think it's been under 3 months of spending (and not a ton, just a few transactions on each card).

For someone who moved to Israel, but still has a valid American address and wants to use his American cc for spending. What options are available for a no annual fee and no foreign transaction fee card?
Thanks

Capital One Quicksilver Cash Rewards = 1.5% cashback with zero AF and no ForEx fees

Worth considering.

Just got this card less than 19 hours after applying. Pretty fast.

Re United Quest, are the two free bags in addition to the checked bag included with the reservation (total of 3 bags?)?

No, you would still only receive a total of two free checked bags. Here is the relevant section from the UA terms. Hope this helps.
