I don't even bother going when there's a woot off anymore.
I barely went today. I used to sit glued to my screen. Even downloaded a program that would alert me on my desktop when a new product went up.

Being that this thread is, primarily, about Credit Cards, I don't think JS is actually the appropriate place for it.

Asking what your favorite CC color is about CC's also but does not belong here.

Wow! This thread could have been an awesome place to ask random questions about credit cards one already has,  and get quick answers.  Instead it became what every other thread on the forums has become. A place for some people with way too much time on their hands to measure the size of their sticks against everyone else's and try to establish that their's is the biggest.

Why can't  we have a single thread that is exclusively for useful information,  and free of thread crapping, post padding, and nonsense?

I propose a thorough cleanup on the forums,  and unless in JS or a dedicated thread nonsensical posts not be tolerated.

I'm sure many here will be happy to be crowned mod for the day,  and volunteer to help clean up.

All posts that are not helpful regarding the threads in which they are in can be moved to a master thread of crap in JS

You have a thread already. Why clutter the forums with another random thread?

Answer:
That thread is supposed to teach you how to get your first credit card(s). Not for people to post random q's they have.

Not true. This is the first sentence of the wiki: This is the thread where you can ask any random question you have.

They change very often and someone would have to really be on top of it updating it or else it will become that like that CC Chart that stickied to this board.

Not true. This is the first sentence of the wiki: This is the thread where you can ask any random question you have.
Only because there aren't any other random threads. I think a random thread in the CC board makes sense because 1) this is the most popular board and, therefore, has the most questions 2) people would check a Random Q's thread in this board and help out as opposed to the Beginner's Random Q's thread that seems to have only a few people checking and chiming in.

I propose a thorough cleanup on the forums,  and unless in JS or a dedicated thread nonsensical posts not be tolerated.

It was only about a month ago that this discussion was brought up again and the Adopt-A-Wiki idea was proposed. Join that conversation if you'd like.

OK lets try this out. I would like to emboss my name on a OV card. Which embosser should I buy?

Why not use the one you used back in the days of MVD?
Workflowy. You won't know what you're missing until you try it.

Oops, my mistake. Anyways, IIRC that guy used a sharpie. Why not try that?

No experience in the field, but a simple Amazon search gets you these ~$300 machines.
