You can try, but don't expect anything from that man to come easy.  I actually was enrolled in YOEC during my Smicha year there for a total of 3 years in LA, plus shiur daled in ULY and shlichus in Brazil.

And an MBA from Baldwin-Wallace here in Cleveland.

How do you think an MBA from a regionally accredited school compares to an MBA from a nationally accredited school with a good reputation?

Now I just need my PhD to be Rabbi Dr. Dan, MBA...

Wouldn't that be Rabbi Dr. Dan, Ph.D. ?

Did you have to pay anything extra for the BA?

Hard to say as BH I've been having too good of a time running dansdeals to look for a boring job ;)

People here spoke very highly of the program and the profs, but in retrospect it does probably limit me to starting with a local job where people are familiar with the school and its graduates.

What really got me excited was the head of the MBA Entrepreneurship program when I applied, Eric Fingerhut, a local and very well connected politician.  He was very excited to get me into his program.

Unfortunately he was tapped to go serve as the Higher Education Czar shortly after I started and before I was able to make a good connection with him.  So I got stuck in the MBA Entrepreneurship program without a leader for the remainder of the time.
It was still a cool program.  Got to sit in on VC meetings where they doling out millions as if it were nothing.
Wouldn't that be Rabbi Dr. Dan, Ph.D. ?

Yes, as I had to enroll in YOEC during my Smicha year.  It was at a very discounted rate though.

True, but LA is LA :)

My father got sick of dealing with the Rosh and put the 3rd of the 6 of us Eleff boys into Motown for shiur daled.

Yours is regionally accredited, mine is (going to be) nationally accredited. From what I understand, regional accreditation is better.

It's better in the regional job market, but not nationally AFAIK.

Where are you going?

From what I've heard(never used myself) you can go ace, or you can register at almost any of their affiliated schools and receive the credits there only to transfer them on to whereever you want them to go to...ace is not accepted by everyone but between all of those possibilities you'll find one that is accepted by whatever school you wish to go thru...

If you speak another language (other than English) you can take an exam, don’t remember what its called (some language proficiency test), I know it’s given at nyu (because I took it there) and get 12-14 credits depending on your college transfer policy and your score on the test.

I have definitely heard of that. My friends payed $400 and took a test worth up to 9 credits (for hebrew) The better they did on the test the more credits they received.

Aleks is awesome for the right person... let me explain what it is!
You pay a really small fee per month... their goal is to teach you the subject they are kind of like a tutoring place... they give you a test to see how much you know on that subject... you can retake the test as many times as you want.... they give you all the topics to practice that you get wrong on that test... the way you get your credits is by getting a 70 (i think that's the mark) on the test.  you can retake as many times as you want... the first time you get a 70  then that's it! you can get your credits... it's weird.. understand? it's not easy to get a 70...
