You can say you know someone who got into school x or got job y with the degree, but bottom line it's gonna be a lot harder to get intoa good law/med/dent school with the degree. And it's harder than it used to be

Of course...but at the end of the day...they did.

I got into med school with a degree from Excelsior. At least for medical/dental school it's not a big deal because you need to take a significant # of science pre-reqs in legitimate classroom courses. As long as it's a regionally accredited university (like Excelsior and I assume FDU) it won't hurt you (it's no Ivy League but still).

The only recommendation I would make is to take all your science courses in the same school (and it should preferably be a 'fairly competitive' program). This is enough to prove that you have what it takes to succeed (obviously with a solid GPA and MCAT/DAT).

If anyone is seriously considering this route, I would be happy to help out.

So for the 18 non-fdu credits i summarize;
The 6 english has to be a clep.
Math can be clep but alecks is easier=3.
6+3=9
Boilogy, already did clep=15
Than for last three im about to do comp clep, if i fail can do art dante? Or maybe emt stuff (ill ask swanzey, bec moran goldfarb isn't very friendly.
CMIIW But you need computer science as a requirement for the deg.
Worth getting goldfarb to work w you bec,
Heard that a lot of people are having problems with Swanzey filing there paperwork to transfer credits, cleps etc... glad I graduated a while ago  :)
I had the same prob and goldfarb took care of it for me.
Also
She has something against yeshiva guys.
I never experienced this. I took at least three of my courses w her online, they were the easiest courses in the prog and that includes taking two classes w kirschenbaum. All she wants is two pages of filler that is only somewhat relevant to the chapter being summarized.
She is a "macher" in the reg uni also. I heard she was on maternity leave a while ago and they didnt process anything while she was on leave
Why is this unreasonable?
Two points: 1) unless your going for a degree that has a very small major (psyc), the extra credits won't help you since there's the stupid mandatory courses plus the major which usually equals more than 120 (with the 48). I think u are mixing up touro taking 60 with the accounting majors, they accept 60 from them since they need 150 credits not 120. 2) if you can get financial aid than its very easy to go to touro for free. Complete on uncle sam
1) I guess so, makes sense. 2)YMMV depends on a whole bunch of factors, do't see y it should be easier in touro...

Her class work and the way she acts towards yeshiva guys are not the same.  I know this as a fact as two friends of mine went to her office, one dressed in black and white and the other not at all....she was nasty to the "yeshiva" looking one but nice and cooperative to the other one.

Not true.  She knows what I looked like and she was vertu business like. Not nasty but this is not a game and it wasn't.  That's all.  I loved her classes and they were actually informative.

Can one get into FDU without a high school diploma or a GED just Yeshivah credits?

-1. Touro makes things very difficult for many people, and its very very hard to get away scott free in Touro.  Maybe you mean almost free or like free :)
I know too many people who've gone through and are currently in the Touro system (nobody likes it, but they all go), and all say the same thing.  Though things may be different outside NYC.

YMMV depends on a whole bunch of factors, do't see y it should be easier in touro...
touro is free (with financial aid) if you go to one of the small branches. You get an additional automatic scholarship just for going there. If anyone wants more info you can pm me I'll be happy to tell you how to do it

Sorry to go way OT but just reading through this thread now. FDU sounds like it would be the name of a FT seminar or something... Fuel Dump University :D
Save your time, I don't answer PM. Post it in the forum and a dedicated DDF'er will get back to you as soon as possible.
