Just a heads up for any USA want to be brewers (or all grain brewers) The nordstrom's clearance dan posted has a good deal on a brooklyn brewshop kit. This is how I started and I love it

So far I've brewed a pale ale, a porter, and a double IPA. The porter and IPA were amazing, the pale ale was OK but I'm attributing that to me not filtering out the cholaramines in the water before brewing.
It's an incredible piece of engineering. Definitely worth the wait and the $$$$.

Great to hear. I'm curious about your efficiency. I can only imagine its probably the most pain free brewing experience for small batches (is it 2 or 3 gallons max?).

Makes me wonder if its a sound business move to buy a couple (3-5) and start a kosher brewpub with 15 beers on rotation etc. I would need a lot of kegs to start but it would be a fun place to hang out/do work etc.

You can get efficiency in the mid 70% with a multi step infusion mash.
Max batch size is 2.5 gal. I've run two consecutive batches to make a 5g batch with no issues but I wouldn't want to rely on them to supply a brewpub with constant brewing.
