Thanks to Dan I got my companion pass  My whole flight to Chicago for me and my wife came out to 10 bucks! Is there a way to get the early check-in without paying the additional $25 per person? (my wife wants to make sure we sit next to each other) thanks

It ain't worth it. You won't have a problem. Just check in as early as possible on the computer. You'll be fine. Don't waste your money

+1 I checked in online like 13 hour before the flight I my place in line A59 which I think is before the carriages.

i find it depends on route and several other random things i cant figure out.
I've checked in 23:00 before a flight (LGA-MDW) and was mid B's
another time i checked myself in (same route) and was placed at the end of A, while my wife who I checked in several minutes later was 20 spots ahead of me. go figure

I have flown southwest a few times. When ever you check in as long as you check in together usual you can sit next to each other as southwest as a first come first serve policy. Sometimes if you are one of the last ones to board the plane then usualy other people who are travelling alone will move around.

Agreed. Unless your the end of group C you will likely get two seats together.
