This story is just sad.
Verified report is that he's a mentally unstable supporter of Rav Shteinman.
Some people belong in an institution.

It's just a dumb theory of mine, but I have a feeling that psychos act out what normal people are thinking about.

Nu, whose side you were you on? Are you in the video? I'd love to meet you face to face.
IIRC, I once told you - that was a while ago that I take no sides.
Love me or hate me. I still love you.

It said he's the son of a rosh hayeshiva and is an avreich.
Tough to be in kollel if you're mentally unstable...

Is that really so?  He seems like a real member of the gang...  Very sharp guy.

:'(
And his gaavah is unbelievable, instead of the usual post-election diplomacy and peace-making, first thing he does is to tell everyone else to butt out.

Not sure where Freudian gets into the mix here. This person comes from a family that totally supports R' Steinman. He's a plain old fashioned meshugener.

It was absolutely right to attack Lapid and Bennett who before the election campaign never set foot in the city and ran a vicious incitement campaign and lost b"h.

Abutbol is a man of class and that's the reason why he was supported by all Charedim even though Shas is a small minority.

Abutbol doesn't have to make any peacemaking. Actually, to many's chagrin he did reach out to all factions.
Now is the time for good old political revenge. By the next electron, the mizrachniks will be the small minority and will be fully ignored.

And it was yet another case where the mizrachniks chose the side of the kofrim bashem over the side of shomrei mitzvos.

They are going the way of the reform Jews before them.

And the loveliest part of the election?
Bayit Yehudi was nearly wiped out on the Jerusalem city council. Got only 1 seat, while the more sane mizrachnik party, an offshoot of Otzma LeYisrael which is decidedly Charedi friendly got 2 seats and almost 3.
Them with the Charedim are a majority on the city council.

Pardon my ignorance, but I thought the reason they were against him was because of the mess with all the נטורי קרתא crazies he did nothing about and the fact that the city is full of garbage unlike ביתר which is beautiful.

Yay, let's fight!  Great attitude that doesn't work.

They chose not to side with Aboutboul who ignored the needs of all citizens of Beit Shemesh.  Not everything has to do with kofrim... Get out of your box.

Reform?  Again with your Yated propaganda.

Just a proof to you that this has nothing to do with "kofrim."

Aboutboul won by an extremely thin margin of three percentage points.

You're not ignorant, just plain sensible.
Those resho'im who vote for deblasio must also be going the way of reform.......bla bla. (huh?)

It's the scare tactic they used to get everyone to go vote for him, it's called pulling the "gedolim" card, the "k'chol asher yorucha" card, the kofrim card.  Forget the issues in the city, not important.  Forget that Cohen is a Shomer Shabbat traditional yid who wants to better Beit Shemesh fairly for all citizens.  Aboutboul is a chilul hashem.

While I don't 100% agree, Eli Cohen did not sound like a bad candidate at all. The biggest problem with Aboutbul is incompetence, though he did make the city far better to live in than the previous mayor. Eli Cohen was supposed to take care of the major problems that were still not fixed, but it's hard to know realistically how successful a first timer could be.

A mayor can't do anything about crazies.
It's the police's job to pepper spray them and pelt them with rubber bullets.
And the extremists don't vote.
The people who elected Abutbol are the Charedim that hate the extremists.

Abutbol isn't incompetent. The city developed by leaps and bounds over the last 5 years.
And stop with the shtusim. Cohen is not shomer shabbos. Masorti in name only.

Regarding King in Jerusalem, I never said that mizrachniks everywhere are Bennett's cronies. They live in certain areas.

LOL, you crack me up.
But next time, don't forget to put the smiley face so that ppl don't take you seriously, which would cause them to be choshesh that you're denigrating fellow yiddin.

R' yankel Horowitz from monsey said that it's a חילחל ה׳ that people that look like us in and our children with פיאות and shtreimlach are acting in such a way and that we have an obligation to distance ourselves from them.
How come people and Rabbanim don't get up and make such statements?

B/c in Israel, they're afraid of the idiots attacking them, for certain verbally, and as we have seen in the past, perhaps physically.

And in large part, this is a reason that kiruv in Israel is so tough. Ppl associate religion w/ the ppl who appear, on the surface, to be the most religious, and look at the actions of the few, and the silence of the many, and it disgusts them.
