AA Baggage charges

We flew AA today out of LGA and they did not charge us for checked bags, I wasn't exactly going to ask why. Anyone know what the deal is

I am looking to book a trip with AA from Israel, is there anyway that I can get 2 pcs. per person? I am not AA Gold.

AFAIK you can't book Israel- US online at AA.com.

Even if you could book it, I am pretty sure it goes by metal, not ticket stock.

I have platinum world and my father has plat. elite world (thats their highest level, higher annual fee....)

After more searching I found on AA's website that FC is allowed 3 pieces of luggage, but the million dollar question remains the weight limit..? I called AA, one Rep said 2x50 the next one said 3x50, but I clearly remember I flew last year the same route, same class, and was allowed 3x70!

We're 3 people traveling, and we can use those extra 20 lb. per luggage! (It totals 180 lb.)
