I called and they canceled the service, but when I call the # it goes to voicemail? I also have a $1 charge pending on a $12 gift card, does that mean they my service is actually canceled?
I did not receive any email confirmation on the cancelation of the service.

Usually I'm the one who runs right away to a deal without any research, I'm glad I didn't fall for it this time. Thanks god!!! I would of gotten very mad on sprint.

A company doesn't need a SSN to send you to collections.

True, but do you believe they'll hire the collection agency for a couple of dollars? Will they track you down to negatively mark your credit?

Though, if they had your SSN or credit card, it would take them a second to do it.

Thanks for the advice about calling voicemail.  I tried cancelling all 6 of my lines, 4 of them I get the following message
"the person you are calling is unavailable now, please try again later"
But on 2 of them, I get the voicemail message.  They told me those 2 lines were cancelled already.
On one of my lines that I tried to cancel, I got disconnected due to a bad connection and they kept on telling me that line could not be cancelled without returning the phone or I would get hit with some 14 day cancellation fee.

My phone is scheduled to be delivered tomorrow, and online it shows my plan starts tomorrow. I just got off the phone and cancelled without any issues, no mention at all of returning the phone.

My account now shows a bill for $3.41. I ordered the phone on the 23rd and cancelled on the 24th, phone didn't arrive until the 25th...

You can try to dispute but my experience has been they always start billing from the day of the order
not when you receive or activate the phone.

not much of a risk since a galaxy for $45+tax+fees  is still a steal.
and you get the month of cell phone service too!
so anything less than $45 that you pay is just a bonus

On my umpteenth HUCA(slight exaggeration ), Cancellation Dept. agreed to freeze my account until I notify them that I want it thawed. He said I will not be charged anything. So nice little toy for now. (I'm Getting the "the person you are calling is unavailable now, please try again later" message.)

Unfortunately, I am no longer able to get lines cancelled effective today.  However, I was able to get a credit on a line that I was charged 58 for and they said I could call back on Nov 25 if I get billed anything to get my money back.  How, did you convince them to cancel effective immediately?

I said I have a different monthly plan and want to activate this when that expires (didn't work yesterday umteenth times ). Worked today on the first shot. But again, he didn't cancel only freeze. Will worry about cancelling sometime in the future (I might even try their service for a month, you never know).
