Seeing from other posts that you consult lots of things with your rabbi... What's the deal with using a baby monitor on shabbos?
And are they different kinds, some permitted and some not?

I was told we can use it, but can not purposely talk into it to be heard on the receiving end. Meaning if you are changing the diaper, you cant tell your wife who is downstairs and has the receiver, to bring you the wipes...

I have not heard of different kinds. I asked about regular monitors, not the video ones...

You really think that if I needed one I would rely on "someone from the forum's rabbi"?
