I had a charge get declined on a amex hilton (spend threshold) and I called to find out why it was declined etc. After everything was cleared up I asked for some compensation or courtesy, the rep says there is nothing that they can offer, (the amex Hilton reps are worthless)
A few hrs later amex calls me up and says i see you called earlier and asked for compensation... we don't want you to be upset, what sort of compensation Did you have in mind
I said whatever you can offer me. So he offers 3000 bonus points, I said yes, he told me that he will transfer the 3k bonus SPG points into my account right away
