I'm trying to log in to my verizon router (to set up OpenDNS), but it locked me out for trying the wrong password too many times.

It's been a couple of days, and it still says to try again later. Any ideas how to get it unlocked?

TIA!

Try 'reset my password'  or call them.

There's no option to reset password - it just says to try again later.

I did this to my mother-in-laws router when trying to config port forwarding. The only way, as far as my research went, was to factory reset the router.

It was a bit scary, but it came back up and everything was still working and I was able to login.

Hi all -
I have had FIOS for the full 2 years of my contract and now they are bumping me from paying the 89.99 triple play to 124.99.
I am thinking of switching to optimum just for now and maybe going back to Verizon after 6 months so I can get the cheaper triple play deal (with the gift card and all).
Anyone have recommendation of another triple play service provider and/or deals for optimum?
TIA

Ask in the Optimum thread.

FWIW, waiting did not help at all. I chatted with them and they had me reboot my router so that they could reset the password.

Trying to help my mom.  She has phone and basic Internet and Verizon just raised her rate almost 30 dollars.  What is the best current price out there for the double bundle of phone and internet?  What is the best way to go about this, chat, phone call, is there a retention department and what would be the number?

Optimum 5/1 should be $35.

I was under the impression that the prices varies, depending on where you live, if you're a new customer & perhaps other factors as well.

I don't believe that it depends on area. You can call and get a quote. If she's currently with Verizon, then she's a new customer for Optimum.
