Has anyone here from 08701 gone to shmooze with these ppl in person?
I have, actually. I've visited several times - listened to many stories, sang with them, laughed with them, hugged them. So far I have not seen drug addicts, drunks, or derelicts. I see people who are no less deserving of love and dignity than the people who condemn them. What's more, the people there - residents and volunteers alike - manage to gird and reinforce my faith in humanity. That same faith that the bitter, cowardly people on this forum attempt to erode.
