Do they forgive Bartman now?

To quote the end of the 30 for 30 on the topic, "The question is not whether Cubs fans forgive Bartman, it's whether Bartman can forgive Cubs fans"

Now we have important things to talk about. Will they dye the Chicago river blue for the parade?

Or how the team with the 14th highest payroll (opening day 2016) should spend their money this winter. Fowler? Chapman? More $ to bullpen?

Yes, Yes and maybe.

I can't see them signing Fowler since they already have Heyward, Zobrist (assuming they keep Baez at 2B), and Schwarber with Almaro as a backup. Fowler will also be buying high. Closer market will be interesting since there are a few out there but more and more ppl are realizing their importance in October. Great line from yesterday: "So the day after Familia pulls a Chapman, Chapman pulls a Familia."

The NL doesn't like power hitters?
Everyone wanted him and the Cubs said no. What makes you think they will change their mind?

hes a real defensive liability in the outfield
he will cost them games in the outfield
over the course of the season, his numbers will look great.
but what happens in the postseason when you have to take your big slugger out late in the game. or what happens when he blows a big play in the field? you wont care that he hit 40 homers during the regular season

I guess you and the Cubs think differently. They would have loved to have him in the field and his bat in the lineup for games 3/4/5.

That depends. You might get someone that can't field or hit.  :)
