I hope that by the end of the series the Cubs have more hits with runners in scoring position than manager ejections...

A win is a win but Wade threw 48 more pitches than Jansen, so definitely some cons...

I'm thinking 60/40 Cubs/Padres. I'm guessing Vegas doesn't agree

Strange he didn't pick a contender. Guess that wasn't important to him. And neither was money. Wonder what attracted him to LA

IMO if he went to a contender (like Durant), and then the team stays a contender it's debatable how good he is, but if he goes to an average team and they become a contender he gets all the credit. I thought San Diego would win unless the Theo effect worked. Kind of like LeBron picking Cleveland (decision #2) where he was looking for potential to win and not a team that won recently.

YU is a beast.
And, they got him on the cheap. The last FA starting pitcher - who's stuff isn't anywhere near Darvish's stuff - David Price got $217 million (7 years). $126 for 6 years is a bargain for an ace

Jake Arrieta to Philadelphia: Good news because Brewers, Cardinals and Nationals didn't sign him. Also it makes Philly a division contender (they also signed Carlos Santana), Washington can't coast until the playoffs anymore.

Arietta has been in the league for 9 years. He had one very good season and one absurdly good season, and otherwise has been average to above average. He's not getting long-term money but he's getting $30 million next year entering age 32.

Maybe I'm just angry at you because you left out an NL East team...
