right, although you may find cheaper revenue tickets.

Is there any way to get US Airways to allow a stopover and open jaw intraAustralia?
Otherwise, what is the best option to visit 3-4 places within Australia?

Avios are great if the cities are close close (MEL, SYD, OOL) and you don't want to spend money. Otherwise the domestic airfares are generally really cheap, usually under $100 for a one way fare on the east coast.

Thanks
I plan to go to Uluru, Darwin, Sydney and Cairns.  Right now my domestic tickets will be an additional 40k AAadvantage or similar sum in avios.
I just wish there were flights that allowed stopovers.

How much time do you have there? I don't know of anyone that allows stopovers.

That's a nice amount of time. I was there for two and just had time for MEL, SYD and OOL. Best of luck!

I think so. The Great Ocean Road was definitely worth it. Look in that thread for ideas.

I have know clue what's in Darwin that's worth seeing. I think Uluru is worth it for a 2nd or 3rd visit, but not for a first time trip. Not much to see besides the rock.

Bingo.

My first trip down under was 2.5 weeks in DPO, HBA, HTI, MEL, and SYD

Next trip might have to hit up AYQ, CNS, KGC, and OOL?

Some background details:
I have already booked my flights in QF F on an A380; I land in SYD and return from MEL. My trip is from June 1-25 so I am taking weather into consideration. I am in the process of booking a ticket for my friend and want an idea for the schedule so I can book his ticket accordingly.
I really want to see the GBR before its too late so CNS is basically a must for this trip- also the weather is nice there in their winter. Additionally, DPO and MEL will not have ideal weather when I am there.
I would like to see Uluru, but this is not a deal breaker- my logic was that spending a day and a half there would be a small detour if it was on the way back down to Sydney.

I head that Kakadu national park is very nice and Darwin is the gateway there.

Please let me know what you think.

QF F? How'd you manage to get that? I'm having trouble just finding J availability.
Uluru's probably not worth it, CNS is a must in June.

QF F has to be booked a good 9-12 months in advance.

330 days at midnight for one and the other popped up about 310 days out.
