SYD is great, I just don't see how to spend more than a few days there.

Blue mountains perhaps? Or fly up to the GBR for a couple days?

Didn't do the bridge climb when I went, think it was ~$200. Seems cool but too pricey

What did you think of the Blue Mountains?
Worth it for a day trip and returning to Sydney same day?

Did a day trip to Featherdale wildlife park (one of the best places in Sydney IMO) and Blue Mountains. Timing was a bit tough but it was nice hiking and exploring.

The blue mountains are beautiful. I think its worth it. We also did the caves another day, I would skip those

The bridge climb is quite fun, but the overwhelming majority of the 2 hour tour is spent waiting aimlessly for the tour groups in front of you, so I would strongly recommend taking the first tour of the day to avoid that.

We did featherdale. Took a train and bus, it wasn't difficult.

No restaurants, just regular supermarket food.

Taronga is much easier and fun to get to by public transport - just a direct ferry from circular quay.
