Coles in Bondi has Lewis meals prepared that can easily be frozen and some may even come frozen. And the other places mentioned above

Shame. The restaurant scene down under is truly abysmal.
MEL had more than I could manage to sample, including a few on Uber eats that were within range of the CBD
I've even had some make me meals during lunch to take on the plane.

SYD, fewer yet good portions and quality. True, nothing in the city, the closest is "The sweet chick" in Surry hills that has some sandwiches, cakes and coffee.
But Bagel Co opens early, grab a sandwich/salad, take the Rose Bay ferry to Circular quay and enjoy your day - added bonus: view from the ferry of the harbour bridge and opera house

Looking for suggestions for a brief 4 or 5 day stay in Sydney, including Shabbos. Top sites to see, where to stay that is close to shuls and kosher food etc. TIA

Do you plan on just being in sydney, or going to melbourne? Are you planning on going outside of the city? Do you plan on renting a car? What time of the year are you going? IMO Sydney doesn't need 4 to 5 days, but if one is shabbos and one is erev Shabbos in the winter, and could not be too bad. It also makes a difference where you're coming from and how tired you will be when you get there. If you fly in from japan, you're not really changing time zones that much so you will be pretty much ready to hit the road. If you come in from new york, you might be a little bit jet lagged. Also, if you want suggestions on what to do you should probably start with telling us what you like to do, who you're traveling with, and what their abilities are. Telling me you like nature but are not into a 10 mile grueling uphill hike doesn't help. Telling me you like adventure, but that you're freaked out about bungee jumping also doesn't help. Telling me you like to hike but are traveling with an infant severely limits the amount of hikes you can do unless you have a baby carrier.

If you want to be close to shul and food you need to be near Bondie. Most of what to see is around the harbor and Opera house so you will have to choose which way you want to travel. There is a hit or miss minyan downtown daily and a more reliable one on Shabbos.

Thanks- Need activities for a Wed and Thurs in mid-September. Will be spending Shabbos in Sydney, then flying out on Sunday. Want to see some of Sydney and also some of the "nature" of Australia, if possible (e.g. day trip from Sydney) with easy-to-moderate hikes (no bungee :) ). TIA!

I am by no means an expert on Sydney, but it will take no more than one day to walk around the CBD and maybe do a Sydney bridge climb if you wanted. You can take the trains to the Blue Mountains which are about an hour away and do lots of hikes, walks, and nature stuff there. If you prefer to stay closer to sydney, Manley beach is nice especially in the late winter when there's not too many people going to the beach there. You can go to Bondi Beach over Shabbos if that's where the Jewish community is (unless you're planning on spending Shabbos in the CBD).

Any recommendations for hotels for Shabbos in Sydney? Thinking of staying in Bondi Beach area near shuls and kosher food (Shabbos take out). TIA

I think you're extremely limited to local boutique hotels if you want to stay in Bondi.

https://www.chabadofbondi.com/accomidation (They also have a visitors page for shabbat meal sign up)

If you want shabbat take out you can get at Pita Mix and/or Millee's Deli 525 Old South Head Rd - they are a few mins walk from each other
