Author Topic: Emirates now transfers from Amex (Read 9154 times)

Amex puts up a warning that name on Amex acct must match the name on Emirates acct and says Emirates may not credit non-matching names. Does anyone know if this is being enforced or is it like Chase UR to UA?

I was told today that Emirates First/Business Class JFK-MXP is 130k/65k miles, transferable from MR.
Can I use my MR points for another person flying with me as well?

Also I made some transfers that are pending. Does it always go thru right away?

I was told by 2 different departments that there are no other fees with the points!

What class is an F seat?
They also make me wait until 24hrs before the flight so I wouldn't transfer the points until I see that seat are available. I'm assuming once they're transferred that there's no going back, right?

Maybe it's a new thing.... Doubt it.. DROPR. (Besides if you're talking about upgrades)

No idea what you're talking about 24 hours before the flight, maybe you were talking to them about upgrades?

F = First Class

I was told that if I wanted to use points to upgrade a cash flight then I'd have to wait until 24hrs before the flight to check in, and then upgrade to F or Business (abbreviation?) class. Please let me know if you know of another way to upgrade now or a better way than 65-130k MR points.

If you're talking about an upgrade, than you're right. Don't know about 24 hours...
