Unbelievable!
Airlines sending me "We're in this together" emails.

Bruh, where were you when my suitcase weighed it 51.50 pounds?

They completely gutted the Star Alliance award redemption values - you cannot even call this a devaluation!  Everyone (United) needs to hear our voice on Twitter, etc.  They have a right to do what they want, but 220,000 miles + for first class on a Star Alliance carrier?  Ya right!  jeff.smisek@united.com needs to hear your voice...

Save your time, I don't answer PM. Post it in the forum and a dedicated DDF'er will get back to you as soon as possible.

Add Chase to the list of people to complain to. They've slaved away - successfully - to gain market share from Amex. They must give UA aound $1 bln a year. If someone in Chase is made to realize the implications, this madness may end

What you should do:
IMHO the gist of the letters should be that this is a breach of contract. While moderate increases are expected, an 87% increase is not anticipatable, and is therefore in bad faith. Feel free to add your own $.02

Tweet @United with hashtag #UnitedUnfriendly (cc: @Chase)
Star Alliance: @staralliance
RT @Dansdeals #UnitedUnfriendly tweet

And what I believe is the most important: Chase.
Chase gives United hundreds of millions, maybe even over 1 billion dollars a year for their miles. The one voice whose say actually matters here is Chase. If we can get Chase to realize what a colossal loss this can have for them they might actually do something about it.

On what grounds?

The letter of the contract might let them change whatever they want whenever they want, but the judge might disagree. Not a good faith increase.
