Yes, add them as additional guest for check in, shouldn't be an issue.

Anyone else finding ih G points and points and cash bookings unavailable? Booked last week fine. They even have 25% off but now there are only cash rates coming up, even when going thru rewards portal....

When you find an hotel with miniature toiletries!

I explained to room service what I need and I got it ready to go, a bag full.

In a regular Holiday Inn Express what is considered a one cat. upgrade? I'm booked in a king. Does that mean I get a suite? Or does that mean I just get a "1 king executive" whatever that means.....

Also does anyone have any thoughts on ambassador status? Is it worth it for 40000 or 200$ points? Seems like the only big difference is the upgrades.

Just got back from using my free nights. Went to a Holiday Inn express. Got an upgrade. It meant a king bed. The one I went to doesn't have anything more than that. I have a feeling it's the same for other expresses.

Did you book the 4 nights as suite or you book 4 night as normal room.
If you book 4 night as normal room, you get your 4th normal room night free. So you will have to pay 4x$100 extra to upgrade on 4 nights.
But it is all about negotiations. You either pay $300 or $400.

Technically your 4th night is a regular room.

Think of this as getting a buy 1 get 1 free pizza. You can't just get the 1st one with no toppings and add extra topping only to the 2nd free pizza for free because it is on the free pizza.

But like I said earlier, you can negotiate.

I recently noticed awards pricing dynamically for different dates. I was hoping it wasn’t what I suspected, and sure enough...
For the near future it’s actually good, because many properties went down due to low demand. But will probably be bad for the long run.

Good timing also. It probably went under the radar due to Covid-19
