From everything I've seen, they actually do - especially the ones where you pay upfront and get reimbursed by check/wire transfer.

I'm looking at getting the IHG credit card for myself and my wife. The offer online is for 60,000 points, $50 credit, free first year and 5,000 for additional card. On the phone they're offering 80,000 points, free first year and that's it. Which is worth getting?

The offer that I had a month ago, was 80,000 + 5,000 for the AU

So if I can get the 5,000 for the additional card and the 80,000 and 15,000 is worth approximately $80, it seems clearly worth getting the 80,000 and givingup the $50 credit. Do you all agree. (Just want to be sure I got this right). Also, to keep the card for $49 a year with a free night, is that worth it as well? Thanks for the quick answers.

Yes it sounds like its worth it. The AF is a no brained because you can sell the anniversary night for upwards of $150

Thanks a million. I finally got the sapphire reserve and am hoping Chase wont give me a hard time with IHG card. I'll get one for my wife as well so we'll have 2 nights a year.
Thanks.

does a group rate count as nights toward status? and if its two nights, does it get counted as two nights or one stay per room?
Don't wait for the perfect moment; take the moment and make it perfect.
