I know InterCon is the highest brand in the IHG group

what is the next two highest brands in IHG? I have a free anniversary night that i need to use before expiry in Denver?

1) sell it.
2) Although in general it is about brands there are times when a Intercontinental can be worse then a holiday inn.

To answer your question though I would say Crowne Plaza and then either Indigo or the Even Brand(if thats something you would like)

Interesting I thought maybe Staybridge and/or candlewood suites would have been next in line

candlewood is usually garbage, staybridge is very nice but its more of place for families with focus on living quarters and dining/leisure. crowne plazas are usually bigger with conference rooms and nice lobbies etc..

According to Frequent Miler, there are some hotels that are "selling" points for .506 cents each (C+P trick), a little bit lower than the usual 0.57-0.6

http://frequentmiler.boardingarea.com/2017/03/13/buy-ihg-points-0-506-cents/?utm_source=feedblitz&utm_medium=email&utm_campaign=Frequent%20Miler%20%28Instant%29

With 0.57 - a 60,000/night hotel would be $342. At 0.506, it would be $303.60, a savings of $38.40. Not bad!

Just some entertainment for you guys:

I had 2 separate reservations booked for Bora Bora, one for 4 nights and another one for 2. It was done that way based on availability at the times of reservation. I always planned on combining them and tonight was the night I decided to do it. I also wanted to shave a night at the end and spend the last night in Tahiti so that I can have more time outside of the airport, and to see another area for a day would have been nice.

This is where the fun starts. Not only did the guy shave off one night, he shaved off 2!!! Completely cancelled my second reservation. That would be fine if he booked me a night to replace the first night that he cancelled without my authorization. He tried but it wasn't added back to inventory as a reward night. Now hes trying to contact the front desk of the hotel to have them add back to inventory (he doesn't know that I know this is what happened but it's so obvious based on how long I've been on hold and by the fact that it's been 20 minutes since I got the cancellation email).

What should I ask for in return for my "patience"?  :)

This may be a deal.
I recently stayed at a Crowne Plaza and they sent me an email telling me write a review for a chance to win 25,000 IHG points. After i submitted, I read the T&C's and I saw this
'Enter Without Completing a Survey: To enter without receiving an invitation or completing a survey,
an eligible person may send an email, along with their full name and country of residence to
IHGSurveySweeps@HelloWorldfulfillment.com that states the following:

Not worth the time it takes to fill out and email the letter.

Just copy and paste that with your name. 25k points is worth to me more than 45 seconds

This is different from the mail-in contest last year, in which every card mailed yielded a minimum of 500 points (IIRC).

Correct. The only reason people are on this forum is to interact with each other.
1)a post catches my attention,
2) I respond,
3) someone else responds to me,
4) success.

As opposed to entering a sweepstakes whose sole purpose is winning something.
1) enter a sweepstakes,
2) do not win
3) failure.

Has anyone been able to do this recently, or was this a limited time promo? Can't get points lower than .57-.6 from my searches

No
