Has anyone notice award availability getting worse the last few months?

All over. It used to be almost any night was available. Now, any fairly popular date/hotel is usually unavailable.

This is why going green is so popular. Companies love it, because they can hide behind it as a way to cut costs. There's no way they could ever have done this at an intercontinental for example, without having this excuse. And so many people fall for it hook line and sinker.

It's really disgusting in my opinion. I'm not going to a shared hostel and there's no reason I have to use someone else's toiletries.

Yes, add them as additional guest for check in, shouldn't be an issue.

Anyone else finding ih G points and points and cash bookings unavailable? Booked last week fine. They even have 25% off but now there are only cash rates coming up, even when going thru rewards portal....

When you find an hotel with miniature toiletries!

I explained to room service what I need and I got it ready to go, a bag full.

In a regular Holiday Inn Express what is considered a one cat. upgrade? I'm booked in a king. Does that mean I get a suite? Or does that mean I just get a "1 king executive" whatever that means.....

Also does anyone have any thoughts on ambassador status? Is it worth it for 40000 or 200$ points? Seems like the only big difference is the upgrades.

Just got back from using my free nights. Went to a Holiday Inn express. Got an upgrade. It meant a king bed. The one I went to doesn't have anything more than that. I have a feeling it's the same for other expresses.
