I booked three award nights and got fourth free. I'd like to upgrade to a suite for additional 100 a night.question is do I get fourth night in suite free if I paid upgrade for three nights?
Did you book the 4 nights as suite or you book 4 night as normal room.If you book 4 night as normal room, you get your 4th normal room night free. So you will have to pay 4x$100 extra to upgrade on 4 nights. But it is all about negotiations. You either pay $300 or $400.
in a regular room. technically im upgrading my award night to a suite so the same class should apply for the free night no?
Technically your 4th night is a regular room.Think of this as getting a buy 1 get 1 free pizza. You can't just get the 1st one with no toppings and add extra topping only to the 2nd free pizza for free because it is on the free pizza. But like I said earlier, you can negotiate.
I recently noticed awards pricing dynamically for different dates. I was hoping it wasn’t what I suspected, and sure enough...For the near future it’s actually good, because many properties went down due to low demand. But will probably be bad for the long run.https://www.millionmilesecrets.com/guides/ihg-award-chartGood timing also. It probably went under the radar due to Covid-19
Why?
Any of the ihg properties currently open in Israel? Has anyone been there recently? Are they using dynamic pricing?
Does a A2 Student Visa Holder need to pay tax on a IHG Points + Cash redemption in a israeli hotel?
As I stated earlier, it says that taxes are excluded only at some hotels even in the same city or country. Look at tel aviv and also cyprus. It is not across the board, which doesn't make sense. It would also make a big difference between a 2 e. City tax in a European city compared to 17 % vat in Israel for Israeli citizens. Anyone know what’s going on.
I’ve seen that in award bookings too. If the tax is a flat rate, like city taxes in Europe, they will charge you. When it comes to percentage based taxes, they can’t charge anything because there’s no cash price. It’s probably a generic note that comes up on all reservations.Same with free car rentals in the US. You pay the flat fee state taxes, but not sales tax. From my experience, I wasn’t charged VAT in Israel on IHG reward bookings. (CP Haifa)
