Getting in on the T&C deal could make sense for some people. Fully loaded van for $210/month. And who cares that it's american made-not gonna be yours anyways

So buy an 8 year warranty for $1,000. Still come out way ahead.

Leasing is great, but don't pretend that 99% of people don't pay a premium for it.  And it comes with headaches like scratches that an owner wouldn't care about but the leasing company will.  And limited miles means some people wind up parking their leases early.
OTH i took my lease to Fla bec i have too many miles. It pained me to think i'd give back the car w only 15-20 k miles on it.
Buy discounted gift cards from me.

That's more reason to buy. See my Altima example

I myself leased an accord almost 2 years ago but when the summer came about and I hit 30K miles and only halfway through my lease I realized its time to buy. I ended up buying a used car which takes me long distance and stuff and my wife uses the lease to drive to work and back about 1 mile from my house. Moral of the story buy don't lease.

Rule≠No Exceptions.

Same goes for buying/leasing.
Why do you think buying a rental car is a bad idea? Do you know anyone that has done so?

Any what does it have to do with teenagers? I drive rental cars to their limit at any age. Meaning I know all aged people that don't take care of rental cars...

I'll let Dan answer for himself, but for every person that pushes their rental cars to the limit, there are 10 more who baby them because they're nervous about getting screwed when they give it back. Either way, rental cars are better maintained throughout their tenure as rentals than privately owned cars (there are individuals who take phenomenal care of their cars but it's rare). It's still a used car, you have to get it looked at before you buy it to make sure it's in good shape.

I have yet to find a person who bought a rental car and regretted it, while I know of many that are extremely happy with their purchases. Most of them don't buy directly from the rental companies though, they get them from a guy who buys them at auction. It could be that's a safer bet.

He didn't explain why he thinks it's a bad idea, he just wrote that you'd have to be crazy to do it. Hence why I replied to his comment asking why he thinks it's a bad idea. Maybe let him respond, especially since you haven't added anything to the conversation.

Do you have access to some sort of study on consumer treatment of rental cars? Your own personal experience would be anecdotal at best. Not to mention the fact that even if people do treat them 'badly' (whatever that means), that doesn't mean that the car is going to die on you within the first year. Anytime you buy a used car, no matter where you're buying, you should always have it checked out by a mechanic you trust. Rental cars are no different.
