I got a good offer on a Camry hybrid from a family friend in the car buiz. It's a 20k 2010 Camry  hybrid. My question is if anyone knows if the hybrid engine will last the way a reg Camry does? The other offer is a 60k 2013 altima. Both are the same price. Anyone care to say in which is a better choice? Thanks
Camry

if you are not taking it.... wanna fwd it to me

What's the remaining warranty on each?

IINM that's very cheap for what you get
I wonder what people who type "u" instead of "you" do with all their free time.

I am confused now. My 2000 Nissan Altima just broke down again. I don't want to put more money into it. So confused about whether to lease or buy. I have a budget of 10k but I am not finding anything in that price range that is not a piece of junk. Got offered 11k for a salvaged title toyota highlander and ran away.

IDK  where you're looking or if you're trying to negotiate or what you're definition of junk is, but i bought my '04 Avalon (100k mi.) 3 years ago for $7000  including taxes and registration fees.

You can always use some of the cash to make a down payment on a 15to20k car and finance the rest for 2or3 years.

Buying new or used?
And what made you come to that conclusion?

buying used
buying new-you are overpaying for the fact that its brand new. once the car is driven out of the lot, its value plummets. now buying used is only a better option if you trust who you are purchasing from, or it has been certified or something
in terms of lease, i never like paying out to rent an object only to return it at the end. im sure these arguments were presented earlier

For those that want to buy new but want lower payments, Penfed has a financing option which is structured like a lease with the last payment being a balloon payment. Essentially, you will be paying the same rate as a lease with the benefits of ownership. (fyi, they dont allow this option for minivans, suvs and luxury cars)

penfed.org I think its called payment saver. I believe the option is avail for newer used cars as well.
