For those who were looking: I reached out to tens of dealers across NJ, NY, PA, MD. Was willing to do phone call follow up as well as email/text. Yesterday I put down a $500 reservation on a 2023 Sienna LE in transit at a dealer in upstate NY about 4.5 hours from Lakewood, selling at MSRP plus 350 in DMV fees, 37669 total. Car should come in sometime in Jan or Feb and they expect me to pick up within two days once it comes in. No financing and I will need to register and pay sales tax in NJ on my own

https://www.lightstream.com/used-car-loans?cid=AA-AL-used_car_dealer-rate_table-AFF-14728&irad=387393&fact=14728&irmp=1439564&isredirect=True

I am pretty sure you can finance from them without dealer involvement
Can get the new rates with them. Light stream just deposits the money in your account. There is no lien or anything. For the dealership, it is cash.

Many CUs and banks make it a hassle to deal with.

Just wondering out loud (no pressure to respond)-do you work, have a wife, kids? I imagine it took hours and hours to make those calls and send all of those emails, follow up, keep track, etc. No? I can't fathom doing that. Is there a secret mehalech?

I work full time. Have a decent size family kh. No wife but I do have a husband. The secret is multi tasking+ doing it a few minutes at a time over a few days.

And I didn't feel any pressure to follow up and keep track. I looked at email responses when I had time and ignored them when I didn't. I followed up on ones that sounded promising.

There we go. We just need to get a husband and then we'll be able to multitask. Most woman just don't give us enough credit  ;D

Yes,
They don't even put a lien on the car
They send the money directly to the borrower
Nvm-all this is said above

You often get a worse rate on a lease than vs finance.

If you have the cash to pay in full you save all the interest. Especially in a higher-interest environment like right now it can make much more sense to pay cash.
I wonder what people who type "u" instead of "you" do with all their free time.

But not necessarily. Some dealerships offer a discount for financing (fee for cash) of ~$2k. If you finance and then pay it all as soon as the papers come, you will only pay <$100 in interest.

From whom?
Toyota financial services already transferred the loan to Bank of America.
And BoA considers it a regular loan.

After much searching I found a Toyota Sienna 2023 le Selling Price at msrp: $37,195
Plus Taxes/Fees/Registration
and your local sales tax.
Color is cypress which is not what I want.
If interested pm me for details.
It is supposed to arrive next week and signature needs to be done in person!
I would want a finders fee as well.
