the new airaive from sprint

Just came out about a week ago. I am very unhappy with it (although i shouldn't complain because i didn't pay for it and no monthly charge!) it is totally unpredictable and unreliable so far.I have it for 4 days and everyday it performs differently. Sometimes the lights are flashing green which according to the manual means initializing and i am connected while other times ironically the lights are steady green and my mobile is for whatever reason not connected? Anyway i can go on about the problems just wanted to know if anyone else was experiencing difficulty as well since i can't get help from sprint because anyone i talk there says that the device is so new that they don't know themselves yet?

I just got an airave 2 days ago but its my first one and i dont know if its the "new one" or old one. how do i tell?

I have not seen the old one myslf but does yours have four lights consecutively starting at the bottom going up  broadband, gps, mobile, voip phone?

sounds like u have the new one good luck because i am having bad luck with it . I happened to see the airaive amongst the list of phones for the first time u can look there, i am assuming that the one on the site is the old one because it is black and white and ours is only white. i wonder if i can get the old model because i am sure i would'nt have so much headache with that one?

I'm happy with my Airave 2. If you want my old one I'll sell it to you

Sorry it took a while for this reply.How did u get yours to work well mine goes in and out of coverage all the time so i unplugged it already a long time ago? My friend experienced same thing as me and he had same outcome unplugged it as well.

Hmmm, what do you mean by in-and-out of coverage?

if u dial*99 it will tell u within airaive coverage. but its not like i was doing that all the time i could see that sometimes i had five bars and more often than not like between one and two bars still dropping calls not much improvement. the one thing that can be causing it could be because it is not always at the window which it probably should but i cant help that

What kinda problems? I use my BB on the new airave, sometimes I get sms errors.

I also have issues, some of my BBM's never get delivered or take a long time. Some still show the "clock" symbol a few days later. It goes through phases...

I get that too sometimes. Although sometimes the messages go out when i enter regular service.
