I still don't think that'll help, the earliest I can see getting into ROR is Monday night and I'd have to leave on the 2 AM flight to GUM on Wed to catch the 8:30 AM departure. It's a ridiculous amount of traveling for what comes down to one day in ROR.

That's the exact amount of time we had there IIRC.

It was but you then went on to NRT for Shabbos, I'd be leaving on the island hopper after running on very little sleep, doesn't sound like the best way to experience it.

Good point. My only hesitation is that it's a really expensive redemption for a pretty bad product- 112.5k KE + $327 for their old J on the A330 and angle flat seats on the ICN-JFK leg.

I would book the whole TLV- ROR as one redemption with KE, there's just a bit more YQ, same mileage.
ETA: I take that back, it's 92.5k + $217 for TLV-ICN and 112.5k + $327 for TLV-ROR.

True, I was reffering to the entire redemption from TLV, it's not a great product and it's expensive but it's probably worth it to be able to go to ROR for two days...

The more I think about this the more it's just not making sense to me. I don't think it makes sense to go JFK-HKG-TLV and then turn around and fly TLV-ICN-ROR without having much time in ROR, just to then fly the Island hopper, the whole trip is expensive and the timing of everything just isn't good. I'm thinking either to skip TLV and go somewhere else in SE Asia before doing ROR and the Island hopper, or skip that entirely, go to TLV, then somewhere in Europe (VIE? VCN?) and take LH F home. The reason I had booked JFK-HKG-TLV in the first place was really only because HKG-TLV opened up and I figured I would take advantage, I'm not really tied to one destination. WWYD?

I'd personally do something in SE asia + ROR + Hopper with the choices you gave. But if the original booking was for the HKG-TLV segment, doesn't leaving TLV out take away from the point?

It does to a certain extent but the only reason I booked that, to begin with, is because it opened up when it normally doesn't until close in, if at all. It's not like I'm dying to go to TLV, I can do that anytime. I think I'm leaning more toward SE Asia as opposed to TLV as ROR is not an opportunity that I'm likely to have again for a long time. I just wanted to get some other people's thoughts on it.

I would not go to TLV simply because CX J opened HKG-TLV... CX J is hardly an aspirational product such that I would design an entire trip out of it.

Definitely do SE Asia instead.

Thanks for the input, that's definitely what I was leaning towards. Where in SE Asia would you recommend? I'm currently getting to HKG on Wed evening so I could go straight to ROR that Sun or the following Sun.

So many amazing places. Currently at the top of my bucket list is PPS, but SIN, DPS, CNX, USM, etc are all great, too.
