I don't know if this is considered "playing these games" but I think this might take the cake! For some odd reason I thought that the Teaneck seminar was tonight and drove up there from Brooklyn. When I got there I was surprised to be the first to arrive! Oh well I guess if I would stayed the night perhaps I would have been the first indeed!

Finally my father realizes he took my brother's passport. Luckily they live close to JFK and were able to have someone bring it in time.

Kinda reminds me of when we were going on a family trip to Israel and my brother pulls up to the airport, opens his trunk to get his suitcases, and it is empty...

My wife once took 2 passports to the border. 1 was hers and 1 was her expired one. None for me...

Same happened with me, lucky the guy agreed to take my NY license (this was crossing into the US).

I just made a goof.  On my platinum card.  In early Dec I bought a $200 united GC.  no credit.  I checked the platinum wiki and it recommended buying 2 $100 GCs, so I bought 2 $100 GCs. still no credit. 
Jan 1, I changed my airline and bought 2 Delta seat upgrades for a friend at $99 each.  Jan 4 - credit.
I was worried the GCs still didn't qualify for the credit, then it hit me!
I checked my on-line statement for the whole 2013.  Guess what?  I already used the 2013 credit when I opened the card!
So I'm now the proud owner of $400 worth of united GCs.
