Didn't know those cards still exist. That was your only MR card? A hardcore CB person.
Had the Busn Plat and downgraded to Busn Green.

It also has an AF. For some reason mine has neither so my MR points went bye bye. I didn't notice to a couple of months later. They were able to let me redeem the lost points for GC's.

green has mr
Apparently not all of them.

As per this post above, there are two versions. You just have the mr earning one.
Apparently not all of them.

Maybe you can do something to get the point reinstated?  Reverse the downgrade? beg?

I will be buying all new appliances at Homedepot. She made they available for GC redemption but couldn't put them in my account since I didn't have a MR earning card.

So why not convert the card back into a mr earning card at that time? If she was anyway willing to make them available in some form at that time...

I need to extend the expiration of my Flying Blue miles. I was wondering if flying from USA to Canada on a Delta flight operated by WestJet would allow me to earn Flying Blue miles. I chose the Delta flight number when purchasing from Priceline and my credit card was charged by Delta. Furthermore, the confirmation number can be looked up on Delta.com. Delta is a member of SkyTeam, but WestJet is not.

Wont help. Westjet and flying blue aren't mileage partners

Flew to Canada for no other reason than to extend the expiration of my miles, and failed to accomplish that goal. The response of the quoted DDFer was accurate but I had already flown between the time I asked and the time s/he responded.

Go Hobo!
Did you find another way to extend the miles?

Seriously? How much did that failed attempt cost you?

For any future mileage expiration extension needs, check if the airline has an online shopping portal (Flying Blue does, as do most of the major airlines) and just order anything from one of the linked stores. You should be able to find something for under $5 shipped..

Go now and sign into all your accounts and make a spreadsheet with all the expiration data listed (or use AwardWallet which can pull that data automatically) and do this shopping "trick" for any accounts that are within 3 months of expiring.

You're welcome!

but flying blue requires a flight to prevent the miles from expiring not just any activity

Seriously. $67.85 to get there. 7500 BA Avios plus about $45 to get back.

Here's how I found the flight: On matrix.itasoftware.com, on the One-way tab, I entered the airports I was willing to depart from in the first box, I pasted the North America airport list from forums.dansdeals.com/index.php?topic=45539.0 into the destination box, chose the option to see calendar of lowest fares and entered / alliance skyteam into the routing codes box. I looked for the lowest number on the calendar, then reversed the route and looked for the lowest number on the calendar again, then chose the lowest of the two. The mistake was that I did not repeat the search using O:DL,AM in the advanced routing codes box after seeing that Delta and AeroMexico service the area. That would have limited my search to flights operated by SkyTeam member airlines.

I wish extending the expiration was as easy as transferring some more miles from Chase or Citi, shopping through a portal, or ordering a magazine, but for Flying Blue, you have to fly.

Worst mistake ever. Was waiting for my 70k SPG points from 2x 35K signup bonuses. till i realized that the SPG cards I had gotten last year were not business cards as I had remembered. so ended up with nothing due to the once per card bonus :( :( :( :(
