Amex extended warranty

Does anyone know if I split the payment, part with Amex and part with another cc or with gift cards, does Amex still cover for extended warranty?

they'll only cover the portion that was paid with the amex

I filed a claim with AMex extended warranty and a week later I see a credit to my account. I received no requests for additional info and no email that claim was paid.
Is this normal behavior ? should I still be holding on to receipts and the item that is broken ?

I'm sure this has been asked before, please forgive me..
Will Amex extended warranty still apply if I cancel my card, and still have other Amex cards? Would it be better to just downgrade to a free card, would it still apply then?
Just bought a ps4 on my gold card, plan on canceling  or downgrading next month....

I bought a laptop last BF on Amazon but I cant find the paperwork that came in the box ie. packing slip and warranty information. Im not worried about the packing slip because I can get the info off the amazon website but is it an issue that I dont have the warranty info. is this going to be an issue if I do a warranty claim

also for my dad he bought a laptop in a B&M bestbuy and dosen't have any paperwork can he do a warranty claim thru AMEX?

They cover only the amount you charged to your amex card.
