When we were looking for a jet for the principal of my company, the manufacturers were offering free demo flights, they said " the flight time is free, but you have to pay fuel at $xxxx an hour." Ie for the Dessault Falcon 900EX, it was $3,400 an hour, hardly a DDMS deal.

You have no idea what is going on here. These are for dead legs, this company usually charge fuel costs for dead legs but are currently running a free promo to get people to fly them.

Also, keep in mind that's a 20 person jet. Doubt there'll ever be promotions for jets of that size for free. These are 1/3 the size.

14 person but yes, fuel costs depend on size, of course. I was just shocked when they said "free" and then "other than the the thousands of dollars in fuel". Again Jetsmarter has proven to be different in this case, but they could also always change their mind and start charging fuel....

That is how they do it. When I booked my flight for a morning departure my timeframe was 7:30am to 9:30 am and I was able to tell them anytime I wnted during that timeframe, if you don't take it you don't get charged at all.
