Does AA Gift card still work - If I plan on only keeping this card a month and my statement closes in a week, is best bet to book refundable ticket, wait till statement closes, then cancel it the day after?

You must return it with the original receipt, and the claim form from the website.

You get a check a little after they receive the item.

They do not pay shipping.

It's pretty painless, besides for losing the item.

Yes.

It works quite well, but it is a Hassel to get them to approve the payment compared to amex.

Does lowering the credit limit trick work for prestige like ritz?

When I called and asked about lowering mine, I was told they couldn't. Haven't tried again.

Did you try calling about another card first in the same call?
Cause people have got that on the ritz also, so the way to do it was thru calling about another card, and then moving the conversation over to it.

So you would call about a different card with CITI to like check the balance of that card or to actually lower a different credits line? Can you transfer your line to a different MasterCard or it has to be a different CITI card?

Is the Missed Event Protection only available on Prestige? Does Premier have it as well? I couldn't find it in my Premier benefits page, but wanted to double check.

And would be a hard pull.

So with reallocating credit (by getting it lowered on another card), it sounds like it might work the best after you apply for a new card if it goes to pending (due to maxing out their allowed CL). At that time, when they talk to you about transferring credit, you could ask to have the Ritz or Prestige or Exec lowered. Of course it may not work on the latter two due to Signature Visa or World Elite cards needing a minimum.  I guess that's why I haven't read about it being done with those cards. Doing the above would eliminate the hard pull.

Just trying to put the pieces together, read between the lines, and figure it out.  Am I on the right track?
