Well, will keep the card anyways as it's a moneymaker for me on reimbursed hotel stays.

Keeping the card because stays at non-point hotel with 4night still make it worthwhile but sheesh they are really trying hard to get people to cancel their cards. Used to book all airline tickets with the prestige.

Strange there is no thread for 4th night benefit...

Doing it over email or the phone seems to provide member benefits.

Prestige card is in DW's name, it’s the same last name, staying together too.
I want to earn the status nights and use my gold status.

If I provide my Marriott number will it attach fine, even though it has my name?
How can we go about it?

i think the best thing to do is add yourself as an AU and book it under your name so you can get the stay credits and use your gold status. Just before you add the AU confirm with Citi whether AUs get the 4th night free as well.

Either way make sure you pay with the prestige or you will not get the credit

If card is 24+ months old then apply for new card then downgrade old one

Citi becoming very strict about any MS, and I am not doing big $$MS,they lowered my credit lines on all cards, one card went down from 50k to 5k, I am downgrading all to no fee cards and back in the drawer, plus they have terrible cs, done with Citi. No late payments, pay all balances in full, first credit card with Citi was over 20 years ago, and they did this without notice or asking any questions.

they wont approve me for a new card they will tell me u have that card so why r u applying for this again ?

Any big balances on your report recently? other negatives?

No, all balances paid in full, no negatives, nothing. Their letter says I have too much credit with them and other lenders, which makes no sense since i have not applied for any new cards in 2 years, I have had high credit limits for many years.

If i cancel my prestige card but I have a Premier card, would i still lose my TYP? Thinking to open a Premier card and then cancel the Prestige card only if it works this way.
