Would 4th night free work on a booking for a friend? Reservation will be in my name but he'll be a second guest. Would he need to bring my credit card to the hotel?
It's not a pre paid reservation so would he be able to bill the room to cc on file and use his only for incidentals

I'm trying to determine whether to keep my card for next year or not. I got my card in November 2015 but signed up for CG in late December. Then prorated AF was refunded and new $350 AF was charged on 1/26/16 statement. The description says "membership fee Jan 16 - Dec 16".  Does this mean that next year's AF will also post on Jan 26, 2017?

I have a 5-night Hyatt stay in February 6-11, 2016. If I book this stay with my Prestige card, how likely will I get the 4th night free reimbursement in time to cancel by 2/25?

FWIU If the refunded AF was a prorated refund, the new charge resets the year. In that case you would have until 3/3/17 to get your money back.

I thought 37 days only applies to Citi AA Exec while other cards have to be cancelled within 30 days?

why would the policy be different for same issuer? am curious to know if this is truly the case though.

also, called the concierge and made a prepaid reservation at IC Moorea over a week ago, and still dont see the charge show up in transaction history. is this normal?

I was told by 2 supervisors that all Citi cards can be refunded completely up to 32 days, after that they are prorated. The 2 exceptions would be the prestige (although unthread people reported getting it prorated) and aa exec. these would be 37 days, and after that nothing.

Just got this email from Citi Prestige:

Quote
Dear:

Thank you for using your Citi Prestige Concierge to book your recent hotel stay utilizing our "Fourth Night Free" benefit. We are glad that you were able to "stay a little bit longer", thanks to this benefit available exclusively to Citi Prestige cardmembers.

As a small token of our appreciation and your loyalty, we are including in this email a $50 Amazon.com Gift Card. This is our way of saying "thank you" for using this service and being a loyal Citi Prestige cardmember.

Perfect for prime day! Really amazing that they just gave me $50 for free for basically taking advantage of their 4th night free booking service. Anyone else get this?

For my last booking, I paid for it on Feb 17, stayed over memorial day weekend, credit appeared on July 12.

Other than ethical reasons, is there a reason one couldn't use a cancelled Prestige card to get into an AA Admirals Club? Or do they swipe the card?
