In for 1 for the wife.
Question is should I get a second one for me, or wait till next year so that we don't overlap on the lounge memberships

I wonder what kind of rates you'd get through their travel agency for stays in the Maldives. Could be really valuable for a paid stay...

You would get the Hotel's official rate or lower.

A couple of questions:
PGGM or any refundable ticket works for the Citi Prestige card?
Does the AA lounge benefit include a guest?
If I do PGGM this month, do I have to wait till April of 2016 or is January 2016 ok?
Thanks in advance for the answers.

All the answers have been discussed already, but here goes. Pggm works. Lounge benefit includes a guest (it's in the wiki). January 2016 is ok (calendar year).

Much appreciated - thank you!
Although I did take a look at the wiki prior to posting.   It mentioned a guest for Priority Pass but not AA Admirals Club.  It did not mention PPGM either.

I'm sorry... Your right that Wiki only mentions priority pass, but you can bring guest to AA also.

Anyone have luck applying for the new 50k after 3k spend and having them grant the $350 annual fee for Citi Gold clients?
Nobody has tried this yet?

What's the connection between the two ?

The connection between the two is that Citi Gold clients get reduced annual fees on some credit cards.  What's strange is that the in-branch offer for this card is a higher overall TY point bonus, but a much larger spend. In the in-branch documentation for the higher bonus offer, it indicates that the annual fee is $350.  The annual fee should still be $350 for the lower offer (50k), but there doesn't seem to be any specific way to get them to lower to this annual fee.  I guess you could call after you get the card, they see you are Citi Gold (which they can) and then they can do an adjustment?  We are just trying to get confirmation(s) from anyone who has had success in doing so and if so, how?
d

Dan, I noticed you changed the wiki to 30k TY points after $2k spend - it is currently 50k after $3k spend.

Just call CitiGold if you have the card and are CitiGold.

They had the same deal for the A"A executive card but clearly stated when I called for the adjustment that the app had to be done through citigold to get the $100 discount. They would not do an adjustment post app.

The rep in the branch told me the addtl 30k points will not post to the acct until the end of 12 months. Is that true?

How do you do an app through Citi gold?  There is no online way to do so and the branch doesn't have the 50k TY promo (that I am aware of.)
